Services:  Rental Assistance, Shelter Placement, Guaranteed Job Placement, Free Haircuts, Laundry Services, Food Vouchers, Bus Passes, Nevada ID's, and much more.

The Safe Place drop-in center is located at 4800 S. Maryland Parkway, Suite E. The hours of operation are Monday - Saturday, 9:00am - 6:00pm. The center has a small library, a shower, food pantry, clothing closet, respite room, classroom and personal business station for youth.

Street Teens

A non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to helping homeless and at-risk teens, ages 12-21, in the Las Vegas Valley.

Services provided at the Drop-In Center include:

Confidential Services & Support

Basic Needs:  Food - we feed 18-25 youth each day Clothing - youth arrive with sneakers taped to their feet, no socks, and ragged clothing, we provide gently used and some new clothing;  Blankets - youth sleep in washes, in parks and abandoned buildings - it's cold and the ground is hard, we provide blankets and sleeping bags.

Individual Services:  Case management services - staff work one-on-one with each youth to ascertain individual needs;  Referrals - to other agencies in the community; Employment - Job readiness skills; Housing - connect youth with housing agencies and shelters in the community.

Group Services:  HIV Prevention Education & testing; Sexual Education Classes provided by Planned Parenthood; GED & High School Education Classes provided by Clark County Adult Education on site; Employment Classes;  Additionally these youth have access to computers for job searches and email; they use the Drop-In Center phone number & address on their job applications; they have a place to be for 4 hours a day.

Reaching the lost and serving the homeless with the Gospel of Jesus Christ since 1970.

Shade Tree

Shelter for homeless and abused women and children.

Services:  for victims of violence, job development skills program, children's activity and educational program, transitional shelter, emergency shelter, and day shelter.

Further, The Shade Tree is a designated SAFE Place site for all community youth.

The Rape Crisis Center

Provides crisis intervention, advocacy, support and education to those affected by sexual violence.

Advocates are available 24-hours a day to answer your questions and serve you. The center also welcomes calls from partners, friends or family members of those affected by sexual violence. If you or someone you know has been affected by sexual assault please call now: 702-366-1640.

Assisting through Client Services:  All services provided by The Rape Crisis Center are provided for free to anyone seeking assistance.   

24 Hour Hotline, Hearing Impaired Service and Language Line:  The Rape Crisis Center has a 24 hour hotline with trained staff and volunteer advocates available at any time - day or night. The 24 hour hotline is answered by a service and then transferred to a trained advocate.

Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN)

Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) provides support and advocacy for adults and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in southern Nevada.  AFAN works to reduce HIV infection through prevention education to eliminate fear, prejudice and the stigma associated with the disease.

Who is Eligible for Services?

Southern Nevada and Mojave County residents with a diagnosis of HIV/AIDS who provide the following:

Proof of diagnosis (Positive Western Blot)
Proof of Nevada residency
Proof of income (wage stub, SSD/SSI award letter, VA benefits, TANF, CCSS)
Copy of photo identification card
