FATHER FLANAGAN LTD is a Nevada, not for profit, will work for food, butt kickn, public charity 501(c)(3) corporation finding jobs, food n rides for the homeless in the Las Vegas area.
FATHER FLANAGAN LTD is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, more specifically to aid the disadvantaged.
The primary functions of FATHER FLANAGAN LTD are to alleviate poverty, homelessness, hunger and stupidity in the Las Vegas area: serving free hot meals, finding jobs, work clothes, referrals and transport to other agencies, and reporting fraud.
About half the food is donated and all the rest we pony up from our own shallow pockets.
We hope this will soon change as word gets out about FATHER FLANAGAN LTD and the many lives we have changed. Our time is our biggest donation: volunteering about eighteen total hours a day: cooking and serving food; visiting in homeless areas, parks and shelters; helping to apply for jobs, birth certificates, identification, health cards, and rent vouchers.
Our cell phones are usually on 24-7.
Throughout the city and county, we visit about 600 homeless and poor people each week. In one month we helped twelve get their health cards, found jobs for fourteen (eleven are still working), put two in detox and one in a drug program (who is still clean), found housing for nine, bought seven bus passes, handed out fifty-three pair of socks and God only knows how many hours we volunteered or how much we spend on gas. In one day we spent $72 for gas.
We are now sharing food, love and hope at Baker Park on E. Saint Louis near S. 10th Street every Sunday at 10:30 am. And, whenever we have extra food, we share on side streets, empty lots and wherever we are needed.
Volunteers are always welcome. If you would like to join our little groupy, call Gail Sacco at (702) 355-2764 or e-mail her at
